Although December is traditionally considered the official period for holiday shopping, the founders of My Grace, a Romanian brand specializing in handmade gift sets, reveal an increasingly present phenomenon among Romanian consumers: the rush for Christmas gifts starts much earlier than we might imagine. The first order for a Christmas set from the My Grace website came in September, a sign that Romanians no longer leave anything to the last minute when it comes to gifts.
“We received the first order for a Christmas gift at the end of September. Then, in October, Christmas orders slipped in among the usual ones every week. It's clear that people have started buying early; we are also aligning with international trends. From my point of view, Christmas could start as early as September,” say Cristina Ispășoiu and Claudiu Davidoiu from My Grace.
